Sugarfoot were originally founded by Øyvind Holm (Dipsomaniacs,
Deleted Waveform Gatherings) and Hogne Galåen (Deleted Waveform
Gatherings) in 2012. With good help from a bunch of their great
musical friends, they released their debut album, “This Love That We
Outwore”, in October the same year.

Among these friends were people like Bent Sæther (Motorpsycho, The
International Tussler Society), Even Granås (The International Tussler
Society), Håkon Gebhardt (The International Tussler Society),Thomas
Henriksen (Dipsomaniacs) and pedal steel guru, Roar Øien. Apart from
Håkon Gebhardt, all of the above mentioned went on to become regular
Sugarfootians, when time came to perform the music live.

But, eager to write and record more, the band found themselves back in the studio just seven months after the debut’s release. This time in
Trondheim’s legendary Brygga studio. After what rightfully can be
described as an above average fruitful weekend, fifteen new backing
tracks were laid down on tape in June 2013. A few additional songs and vocals have since then been recorded, but those June-sessions still make up the backbone of this new album that you’re holding in front of you; “Big Sky Country”.

The songs were later mixed by Lars Lien; or Barry “Space” Hillien as
he sometimes go by.

Occasionally you might find yourself thinking that these songs echo
familiar sounds from the past – the sound of the Flying Burritos, the
Grateful Dead, Byrds or maybe CSN&Y. Still, there is also a unique
sound manifested within these 16 tracks – the Sugarfoot sound.
